CLEA Project C.L.E.A. Programs National Science Foundation

C.L.E.A. (Contemporary Laboratory Experiences in Astronomy) were developed by Gettysburg College Physics Department on a National Science Foundation Grant and are in the Public Domain (can be used freely).

The I.C.E. Program (Interactive Computer Emphemeris), developed by the U.S. Naval Observatory, is used with the AST 101 'Celestial Globe' experiment, and the optional 'Measuring Lunar Mountains' lab exercise. Get (download) the file icez.ZIP and run (double-click) it to extract all the files needed for the program. Once uncompressed, you want to look for the file ICE.exe which is the executable or application file to run the emphemeris.
